This unique and small hidden spot many don't know about continues to deliver. Although the menu is quite limited and varies over time, it is always tasty. I love the friendly service and associated vibe. By the way, there are only a few tables so reservations are generally a must. I won't tell you much more simply because this is a one-of-kind spot that needs to be experienced to truly understand.

I love all of the sauces, always available is apple chutney but nightly have a different sauce to pair with your protein! Love the pierogies and this is my favorite eggplant parm anywhere!! So much fun here and very quaint!! Make sure you make a reservation.

quality foods just like the other reviews say, still have cheese soup and grilled carrot. Corkage fee is $6.00 not free or 3 like some other reviews say. Water is 1.50 and you have to ask.

This is one of our favorite places. Cellos is a small place -- maybe 11 tables? The whole place is run by three people--Sue (the Chef), Ellen (the baker and server), and a third helper. As you can guess, the menu is a bit limited. The food is exceptional. The dishes are creative, paired well together, and served with nice presentation. I love the beer-cheese soup with popcorn garnish! I usually have the filet mignon, which is served with a choice of a home-made sauce. I believe the filet is the most expensive thing on the menu -- $21, including a couple sides and either soup or salad. You can't beat that kind of price for the quality you are getting. Cellos doesn't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own beer and wine. If you bring wine, they will even provide an ice bucket at the table, open the bottle and pour it for you--for just a small corking fee. The atmosphere is interesting, and you feel a bit like Sue and Ellen are serving you dinner in their own home. The service is great, and Ellen is a lot of fun. She loves to recognize birthdays and special events -- so let her know if you are celebrating. Service can be a little slow if you are there at a busy time, so don't expect a quick meal -- just a good one. A few things to remember... Reservations are always required -- and plan ahead if you want a Friday or Saturday night. Seating is limited. Also -- Cellos is CASH ONLY. I absolutely recommend Cellos for a special evening out.

Can't begin to say enough wonderful things about Cello's. Sue and Ellen are wonderful at their crafts in ensuring a flavorful and entertaining experience every-time. My family and I have been coming for years and have grown to not only appreciate the food but the wonderful owners as well. On this occasion we had our office Christmas dinner here. When I made reservations almost a month in advance they were partially booked, the exclusiveness is alluring. This was our second time having the office party here and we had it down to a science. They had some appetizers and pita all ready for us. One of the perks, this is a BYOB establishment. If you were not aware of this there is a store across the street that sells booze. The meal options are patron customized, you pick a protein; chicken, salmon, filet, eggplant, pork chop and then you pick your sauce one of my favorites is the creamy blue cheese but the house speciality is the apple chutney. Every dinner is accompanied with house beer cheese soup or salad. Both are excellent. They have desserts, key-lime and chocolate with extra chocolate as well. Thanks Sue and Ellen for another magical evening!

Reservations are required. They don't take credit cards and it is 100% bring your own wine or beer. Lovely staff and quiet environment.

I loved this place and each time I'm in Safety Harbor I remind myself to come back. Reservations only, BYOB, and the owners are lovely! The menu is VERY limited- but it's great food, service, and company. Check out the menu before you make your reservation so you don't become one of those people who write a mediocre review because you didn't investigate prior to coming.

My awesome Chica surprised me with a birthday reservation here this past 3rd Friday night. We had been wanting to try this place for a few years, but couldn't ever get in when we needed to. So needless to say, I was purdy excited. First off, the staff/owners, Sue and Ellen, are amazeballs. Very energetic, fun and hospitable. The menu here is ever-changing, so a short explanation of the menu's geographics is seemingly always in order. The options last night were chicken breast, filet, a local fish that I cannot remember the name of and "Eggplant stack-a-tini," which is Chef Sue's playful interpretation of eggplant rollotini. This would eventually be what I would order, along with a side salad. Now, there was absolutely nothing special about the salad. But my Chica got the beer cheese soup instead of the salad, and it was very, very good! The eggplant stack-a-tini though was absolutely delightful. Stacks of charred eggplant with meatballs in betwixt and topped with marinara and mozzarella! And tons of it, I might add. There were two massive stacks, more than one person could eat, unless they've got a tape worm. Then, it's served with two pierogi and a char-grilled carrot. Simply wonderful meal. For beverages, we brought two bottles of wine because Cello's does not offer any liquor, wine or beer, but they encourage folks to bring their own. I noticed that the table next to us also brought two bottles of wine. However, they were provided a bucket with ice, and we were not. Also missing in action was some water. I've never been out to eat somewhere where some complimentary liquid of life was not offered. We finished our two bottles of wine shortly after we were done eating, and got very thirsty sitting there chatting it up. We noticed that two other tables all had some bottled water, but we were not offered any. One of the people in my party jokingly suggested that perhaps you've got to being your own water as well. We all laughed, but if that's the case, that's pretty sad. Either way, we high-tailed it out of there after settling up to quench our thirst! No questions asked. Would I return? Perhaps.

Okay so you may ask why five stars, well to start with I cannot find anything wrong with the place, the service, the food and especially the staff. When I find a place like this which is very rare, that is small ,quaint ,entertaining and food that is prepared excellently with care how could I not give it five stars. The whole place is run by only two partners and they do a dynamite job of taking care of you, the server is very very entertaining when she explains the menu or opens your bottle of wine that you can bring in ( they do not have a liquor license so they encourage you to bring your own spirits) with no corkage fee. Everything is homemade, they have excellent varieties of homemade sauces to put on the meat or fish ithat they serve, the desserts were wonderful, Try the lemon Bundt cake if you like lemon you won't go wrong here. The only drawback I could see is that they do not except credit cards, it is a cash only place so remember that when you go, and you must make reservations as they only seat 30 people and don't be late or no soup for you!!

My boyfriend and I had been trying to get into Cello's for a few weeks but kept calling a bit too late. The restaurant is pretty small so reservations sell out quickly. And because the food is so good, we now understand why. Important Note: You can bring your own beer and wine as they don't have a licence and they only accept cash. We finally got in for a Saturday night to celebrate an anniversary and were promplty greeted and seated by Ellen. She's the server and Sue is the cook. They run the whole show just the two of them. We called ahead and let them know that we had a gluten allergy and they kindly offered to pick up potatoes for us instead of the ravioli that normally goes with the meals. The menu is small but there is something for everyone. We both chose the filet mignon. I chose the bleu cheese sauce while my boyfriend chose the cranberry apple chutney. The meals are served with either a salad or beer cheese soup. I had the soup (since I can eat gluten) and it was delicious. I would go back for that soup alone. It's garnished with a few pieces of popcorn! Delish! My boyfriend's salad was also good. Not fancy, but very fresh. Our steaks arrived promptly and were served with the baked potatoes we requested and a grilled carrot. The steaks were cooked exactly as we ordered and wrapped in bacon. The potatoes and carrots were awesome as were the sauces. Ellen is a wonderful server and very quick. We didn't have to ask for a thing! I love this quaint, little place and cannot wait to go back and try some other dishes. I highly recommend dining here. You won't be disappointed.

There is a whimsy about Cello's Charhouse in every sense. Start with the small house turned into a restaurant with bright mural of a wall in the whimsy town of Safety Harbor. Walk through the doors and you are greeted with mouthwatering smells from the kitchen and a friendly hello. Look around and you will notice whimsical decor from pictures to colorful wall art. The interior is of dark color motif. The menu is deliciously simple. You pick from a list of meats or seafood as your entree. Then you pick from a choice of 3 homemade sauces. A soup and salad is served. Continuing the whimsy, the Beer Cheese soup come with a few pop-corn as garnish. The perfectly tossed salad comes with a garnish of fish crackers. These whimsical touches actually complement the taste with texture and flavor. My filet mignion came perfectly medium-well (per my request) along with a slightly caramelized grilled carrot, cheese ravioli and Sweet Vidallia and Chardonay sauce for meat sauce. My meal ended with Puerto Rican style flan. This came out as a size of slice of pie. Every spoonful of this moist slice of caramel flan goodness, is followed quickly by your next and before you know it, you are looking at an empty plate wishing for more. Cello's Charhouse is BYOB and they are happy to uncork and serve you your drink. This reservation highly recommended, little place is a well kept secret by it regular patrons, and I'm sure some of them may not be too happy with me sharing this high marked review. That's OK, though, when some place awesome like Cello's is discovered, its an injustice to keep it hidden.

Funky and delicious! Cello's is located in lovely, downtown Safety Harbor. Although it has a limited (steak, seafood, pasta, chicken) menu, Cello's is unique and does not disappoint. Server Ellen, could not be more friendly and funny. It is a converted house and has about 11 tables. My steak, a filet mignon, was perfectly charred (hence the restaurant's name), rivaled Bern's Steakhouse. A great place! BYOB and cash only.

My very favorite restaurant & a unique dining experience. I always get the filet which is perfectly cooked & delicious. Sue & Ellen go above & beyond to make you feel at home & that everything is just as ordered. My husband loves the Eggplant Stackatini which is also amazing. There is no other place like Cello's & I always love taking out of town guests there. We also love that it is BYOB so we can bring our favorite bottle of vino for dinner without paying top dollar. Cello's is a MUST TRY!

Interesting decor seemed very cozy. The food was good and for the price you get a lot. We spent about $40.00 for two entrees, salad, and soups. We also got some flatbread to spilt at the beginning. It was all very good and enjoyable. Highly Recommend a good date night location.

My favorite place in all of Pinellas county. We drive all the way from downtown St. Pete to enjoy this quaint restaurant and the ladies that own it, as often as possible. The food NEVER disappoints and the atmosphere and decor is charming. It is cash only and BYOB w/ a corking fee, but as good as this place is, I couldn't care less!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. A simple concept: you order the type of meat you want (steak, pork, chicken, seafood, pasta or portabello mushroom for vegetarians), choose one of the sauces they made that day, and you get the predetermined soup, salad, and sides. Their steaks are phenomenal. If you have a picky eater, check ahead on the menu items because there's not a huge variety. But this is a great choice for either a romantic dinner for two or a fun dinner party of 6-8. We've been several times and have never had a less than stellar experience. Things to know: - You have to make a reservation. - Cash only -- no credit cards. - BYOB -- there's a good wine store across the street if you forget. Reasonable corkage fee.

The good - quaint atmosphere - pleasant service - reasonable prices - very clean - stuffed portobello mushroom w feta and spinach was tasty - pork chop cooked perfectly - the carrot was very cool- grilled to add sweetness - can bring your own booze, it's welcomed The ehhh - stuffed grape leaves and vidalia dressing not made in house (in my opinion) - the bread- grilled pita with sprinkled Parmesan cheese, blah - the beer cheese soup w popcorn was cool concept, just failed on flavor - the salad was ok, dressed simply and few Pepperidge Farm goldfish was cute touch - the sauces which many people review and rate highly were ok, I suspect these could easily be purchased prepared and doctored up like Sandra Lee's show on a food Network "Semi-homemade" . I certainly don't fault them IF that's what they do as its hard to deliver a diverse menu and keep food costs under control. - the Pierogies- were likely store bought and were ok. Again, it's not a slam, just my observation Overall very good and amazingly delivered with appears to be 2 employees! FYI- It's cash only too
